14 February, 2025 | Local

A CHARITY is recruiting for a worker who will use specially-trained dogs to support people with disabilities and mental health conditions in the Inverclyde area.

Dogs for Good is looking for a full-time practitioner who will deliver “animal assisted interventions”, working alongside health and social care professionals.

The charity says it aims to bring people and dogs together, creating life-changing connections.

Kirsten Law, the charity’s head for Scotland, said: “We are delighted to be hiring a practitioner for the Inverclyde area to explore all the possibilities the unique bond between human and dogs can bring. We already have some services in the Inverclyde area and we want to expand and do more.”

Applicants will need experience in dog-handling, training, and working with people with disabilities.

The closing date is Monday 10 March. More information is available on the Dogs for Good website.
