DETECTIVES have appealed for witnesses after a robbery at a shop in Greenock’s East End.
Two men entered premises in the East Crawford Street area around 9.55am on Monday and threatened staff.
A three-figure sum of cash plus alcohol and a charity tin were stolen.
The first suspect is described as 5ft 8in, of medium build. He was wearing a black balaclava, a dark green hooded top, black jogging trousers, black trainers and black gloves. He was carrying a black Adidas rucksack.
The second suspect is described as 6ft, of medium build. He was wearing a black balaclava, a dark-coloured padded jacket and jogging trousers and black gloves.
They made off in the direction of Border Street.
Detective Cheryl O’Donnell said: “Fortunately no one was injured but staff were left shaken and very upset as a result of this robbery.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything suspicious or has information that could assist with our enquiries to trace those responsible.
“We are also asking people to check private CCTV and dash-cam footage to see if they have captured anything that would help with our investigation.”
