GREENOCK’S fire station museum is open on Sunday 28 May , from noon to 4pm and on Monday 29 May and Tuesday 30 May from 10am to 4pm. The museum is in the old fire station at the Municipal Buildings, Wallace Place, just off Dalrymple Street. (Vehicle access is currently via Hunter Place car park.)

Free kayak taster sessions are being run by the Royal West of Scotland Amateur Boat Club, The Esplanade in Greenock on Sunday 4 June from 10am to 4pm. They are aimed at adults although 14 to 18-year-olds are also welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The sessions are suitable for those with no prior experience or anyone considering in returning to the sport.  Participants need to take spare clothes plus a towel. For further details or to book in advance, email This email address is being protected from spambots.
