TEN Years Ago… Inverclyde Welcomed The Big Man
THE huge Big Man Walking marionette paraded through Inverclyde 10 years ago this week.
Crowds watched as he emerged in the car park at Tesco in Port Glasgow before walking through the town centre, as community groups provided entertainment.
Big Man also appeared in Gourock and made his final appearance at Inverclyde’s fireworks at Battery Park.
Inverclyde was among five locations in the UK to welcome the eight-metre-high figure.
