SIGN Up For Two-Day Course In Outdoor First Aid

A WEEKEND course in Outdoor First Aid (Level 3) is being held in Greenock next month.

The course is designed for all people working in an environment where individuals are likely to find themselves at risk.

A range of subjects are covered including: First Aid equipment • Assessment of the situation • Prioritising treatment • Moving a casualty • Fractures and spinal injuries • Control of bleeding • Effects of heat and cold.

The course, which is being run by local provider Crumlish First Aid, meets the requirements of the Institute for Outdoor Learning Band 3 training and the first aid training requirements of the Duke of Edinburgh bronze, silver and gold expedition awards.

Date: 15/16 March 2025
Venue: Rope, Spoke and Paddle Off Grid Adventure Centre (old police club, Thom Street, Greenock)
Time: 9 to 5pm approximately, both days
Minimum age: 16 years
Cost £85pp (Discount available for Explorer Scouts 16-years-plus and Scout volunteers.)

(10 people required on the course for it to be viable; closing date 1 March.)
