BIRKMYRE take on Carrick on Saturday in the National Shield cup competition at Birkmyre Park in Kilmacolm.
The two sides met in the league in August at Maybole where Carrick came away with a victory by 51 points to 21. The match was however closer than the result suggests and Birkmyre will be keen to reverse the scoreline this time out.
Birkmyre have listed a full 22-man squad for the fixture which includes 17-year-old Archie Hopley, who was signed off during the week by the SRU to play senior rugby. Archie will be making his senior debut from the bench. He left school in the summer and like several of the players, attended St Columba’s School in Kilmacolm.
Kick-off is 2:45pm.
