PLANS have been drawn up to demolish the Brewers Fayre restaurant in Greenock and build an extension to the neighbouring hotel.
Under proposals submitted to Inverclyde Council by Whitbread, The Point at James Watt Way, which closed to the public last summer, would be knocked down.

In its place, a two-storey 30-bedroom block would be added to the existing 62-bedroom Premier Inn.
The restaurant has continued to operate for hotel guests. A 46-seat breakfast room is included under the proposed development.

Parking spaces would be increased from 104 to 145 by using part of the site that had outdoor seating and a play area.
The application is pending consideration by Inverclyde planning department.
