MOTORISTS are being warned of an overnight closure of the A8 in Port Glasgow next week.
Contractor Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential lining and surfacing works on the A8 westbound between Newark Roundabout and Comet Roundabout from 8pm on Tuesday 12 November until 6am on Wednesday 13 November.
The Greenock-bound carriageway will be closed with traffic diverted via Clune Brae, Boglestone Avenue, Ardmore Road and Springhill Road, Highholm Avenue, Balfour Street, Shore Street and Brown Street.
The junction with Fore Street will also be closed.
Access for Bay Street residents will be maintained at all times under escort.
