TWO Greenock parkrun regulars celebrated milestones this week, and the female course record was broken — by a runner who is remaining nameless.
Lesley Clark completed her 150th parkrun and Graeme Crawford completed his 50th.
The first female over the line set a new women’s record for the five-kilometre Esplanade run of 17:21. The runner did not present a parkrun barcode at the end and so her identity is unknown. This was a 10-second improvement on the previous record, also set by an unknown runner.
First male was Ryan Thompson in a time of 15:34.
Seventeen of the 84 runners achieved faster times — Charles Thompson (17:09), Luke Chamberlain (17:38), Claire Macaskill (21:09), Richard Newsome (21:41), Deborah Mckenzie (23:17), Steven Kerr (23:17), James Campbell (26:17), Carol Moir (26:29), Jamie Conway (30:06), Sarah Blandy (31:08), Roslyn Murray (31:11), Michael Mceldowney (31:41), Dorothy Wilson (32:09), Janine Frankgate (32:14), Tracy Binnie (36:13) and Jennifer Buchan (43:03).
There were 10 people taking part in Greenock parkrun for the first time.
