The five nominees with the most votes in each category go forward for a panel to decide the winners.

Chris Jewell, commenting on behalf of the awards organisers, said: “Once again we have been thrilled by the number of nominees and also the record number of almost 38,500 votes cast.”
Winners will be announced at the awards dinner at Greenock Town Hall on Friday 9 March 2018.
Tickets to the event, which includes a drink on arrival and a three-course meal with drinks, cost £35 and are available from Smith Sports in West Blackhall Street, Greenock, telephone 01475 888555.
Any proceeds from the awards evening go towards grants to aspiring Inverclyde sportspeople in their bid to become regional, national and international athletes.
