HOLIDAY Season Brings Tourists To Greenock Parkrun
GREENOCK parkrun welcomed a large number of first-timers at the weekend.
Thirty-three of the 118 people taking in the weekly five-kilometre run at the Esplanade had not been before.
This was mainly because of other local parkruns being cancelled and the holiday season being in full swing.
Tourists attending on Saturday came from Oldham, Barrow, London, Edinburgh, and Sedgfield.
Twelve new personal best times were recorded including William Laing (23:10), James Sutherland (23:51), Willie Logan (25:10) and Douglas McEwan (27:27).
