ROSS Peacock and Kobi Phillips were crowned winners of the 2019 Whinhill Golf Club Junior Section annual outing.
All Juniors enjoyed a terrific day out at Brucefields Family Golf Centre in Stirling, as a reward for all their hard work, practice and achievements over the summer season.
Older Juniors, who have official handicaps, competed on a challenging nine-hole course. Younger members — Mini-Juniors — played on a smaller, par-three, nine-hole course — with holes ranging from 64 yards to 132 yards.
Ross, who has been playing some great golf in what is his first year as a Junior member of the club, returned a total of 20 Stableford points to win the older section contest by three points over the ever-improving Nicholas Keogh.
Mini-Junior Kobi scored a total of 38 shots to win his section by three shots from Ross Docherty. All Mini-Juniors returned good scores around what was a short, but very tricky course.
