GOLF — Tee Times Available In Whinhill Junior Open

WHINHILL Golf Club hold its Junior Open on Friday (27 July).

It is an 18-hole stroke-play competition for players under the age of 18 before the 1 January 2018. The entry fee is £5. All competitors will receive a goody bag.

The competition is split into two sections — Section A: zero to 14 handicap and Section B: 15 to 28 handicap.

Four places are to be won in Handicap Section A, Handicap Section B and the Scratch Section. There is a prize to be won at every hole with Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin being played. Twos will be rewarded with a sleeve of golf balls.

The competition is a counting event in the Renfrewshire Golf Union Junior Order of Merit series.

Several tee times are still available between 10am and noon.

There is also a five-hole pre-handicap event that will be played behind the main competition and is open to all young golfers.
