Inverclyde Now Logo CRICKET — Greenock Match Falls Victim To Weather

12 August, 2019 | Local

FOR the second time in three weeks, the full Premier Division cricket programme was washed out on Saturday.

Greenock had been due to travel to Paisley to play Renfrewshire rivals Ferguslie, but the heavy rain on Friday and overnight into Saturday made the Meikleriggs ground unfit for play.

There are now just two more weekends of league cricket remaining and Greenock have still to secure their place in next season’s top league. One more win would be enough.

Next Saturday’s match is against Stirling County at their New Williamfield ground.
