A 47-YEAR-old woman was arrested for alleged drug offences following a search of a property in Greenock's East End.

Sergeant Jason Logsdon said: "Acting upon concerns in the community, pro-active officers obtained a drug search warrant for an address in Weir Street.

"They recovered items relating to drug-dealing, various drugs, believed to be heroin and cannabis, and white tablets, with a combined street value of over £1,200. A quantity of cash was also seized."

The woman appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court where she was remanded in custody pending trial.
