RECRUITMENT -- Clydeport Maintenance Planner Vacancy

PEEL Ports are recruiting a maintenance planner based across all Clydeport sites.

Maintenance Planner

Applicants are invited for the vacancy of Maintenance Planner within the Engineering Department based across all Clydeport Sites, closing date Friday 24 May.

Role Purpose:

To provide Maintenance Planning for all assets across Clydeport sites. To provide an efficient, effective and up to date weekly, monthly and long-term plan for the engineering department by interfacing with the managers, supervisors and operations teams in order to maximise plan efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure adherence to internal and external legislation and completion of all stator maintenance tasks.

This role will include the following responsibilities: 

-- Act as the principle contact and liaison between the maintenance department and operation planning 

-- Enable a professional maintenance service in a timely manner to ensure high equipment availability and performance

-- Review planned work requests determining validity and accuracy of information and setting priorities 

-- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure the availability of resources prior to scheduling

-- Create the maintenance plan ensuring priority PM, defect, and statutory inspection cycles are met to maintain compliance with statutory inspections programmes and internal standards 

-- Utilise relevant IT systems to capture, update and monitor data

Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience: 

-- A technical background within Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance in a heavy engineering environment is desirable 

-- Able to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and projects at any one time 

-- Proven experience of meeting deadlines and the ability to think on your feet and problem solve is essential 

-- Excellent communication, team working and influencing skills 

-- SAP experience is essential

-- Able to create and deliver effective engineering plans utilising planning tools and techniques 

-- Effectively manage, develop and drive the CMMS and engineering workflows 

-- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation such as PUWER, LOLER, EaWR, PSSR, asbestos management and BS7121 

-- A full valid Driving Licence
