INVERCLYDE'S communities and voluntary sector organisation CVS Inverclyde has appointed an interim chief executive officer (CEO).
Annie Mauger-Thompson takes over following the departure of Ian Bruce to take on the role of chief executive at Glasgow CVS.
Annie is an experienced senior executive in the not-for-profit sector who now runs her own consultancy company supporting different organisations in the housing, public and voluntary sectors.
She has been a manager in local authorities in Scotland and England, CEO of a government agency and ran a charity for refugees and asylum seekers in Yorkshire before becoming CEO of a UK-wide membership body.
Annie spent the last few years as executive director for the devolved nations with the Chartered Institute of Housing working closely with a wide range of housing bodies and government in Scotland.
She said: “I am delighted to be working with the very busy team and board at CVS Inverclyde to look after things until the new chief executive is appointed.
“It is an exciting time for CVS Inverclyde and Ian Bruce has left things in a very strong position, but with so much scope for new ideas and innovation. CVS Inverclyde is doing a great job supporting the communities and voluntary sector in Inverclyde. I am very privileged to be involved and know I will learn a great deal from this talented team.”
