A CAR collided with a 12-year-old boy in central Greenock. 

The accident happened as the boy was crossing Inverkip street around 12:10pm on Friday.

He was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital. His injuries were considered minor. 

After examination of the scene by police, no charges were brought against the driver.
