The Greenock side will be playing Raith Rovers in a Championship fixture at 3pm.

Prior to kick-off, the 150th anniversary flag will be raised on the pitch. A number of former players will be welcomed on to the pitch at half-time for a lap of honour.

The club has given away 1,000 tickets to local schools, charities and good causes.

Supporters are being encouraged to wear the Morton top that means the most to them or one from a memorable period in the club’s history.

Manager Dougie Imrie said: “Saturday will be a really special day for the football club and I am honoured and proud to be the manager of Greenock Morton in the club’s 150th anniversary year.

“This club means so much to a lot of people, myself included, and I would like to pay tribute to everybody who has been involved in this club over the last 150 years.

“From legends such as Hal Stewart, Allan McGraw, Benny Rooney and Bob Cochrane, I have had a magnificent opportunity to follow in the footsteps of people who have had such a profound impact on this club.”
