PLANS to build nearly 80 homes at Kilmacolm have taken a step forward.
Proposals for a development at Kilmacolm Meadow, west of Quarry Drive, have been submitted to Inverclyde Council.
Springfield M&M Homes Ltd wants to build 78 properties at the site.
Permission was given in January 2023 for the land to be used for houses.
The developer has now brought forward its detailed plans for approval, including the position of all buildings, roads, paths and parking; design and appearance of all houses; and landscaping and play area proposals.
There will be 58 detached and semi-detached homes, made up of three, four and five-bedroom houses.
The remaining 20 properties are classed as affordable, of which 12 are flats and eight are terraced houses.
