MOTORISTS are being warned that work to improve footways on the A8 in Port Glasgow will mean a lane closure and traffic lights.
Contractor Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is carrying out the improvements on the westbound side, between Newark Roundabout and Comet Roundabout in Port Glasgow, from Monday 7 April and Friday 16 May, although traffic management will be removed during the Easter holidays (17 to 28 April).
Amey stated: “This work will take place under a nearside lane closure and three-way 24-hour continuous temporary traffic lights at this location.
“To mitigate disruption, road users are encouraged to travel at off-peak times and seek alternative routes or modes of transport.”
