Brown Street, Port Glasgow (Between A8 and William Street) is among routes lined up for resurfacing

A LIST of the next Inverclyde roads to get surface improvements has been drawn up by council officials.

A report to councillors states that the priority investment list for carriageways has been compiled based on how important the road is and through analysis of results from the Scottish Road Maintenance Condition Survey, local knowledge of defective lengths of carriageway, number of complaints, accident statistics, liability claims, and public, councillor, and other requests.

Around £1.1million is to be spent on resurfacing and large patching.

Work on the programme is due to take place in the 12 months from the start of April.

Lomond Road, Wemyss Bay (full length)

Cullen Crescent, Inverkip (full length)

Findhorn Road, Inverkip (Spey Road to first entrance Cullen Place)

Manor Crescent, Gourock (Larkfield Road to Rodney Road junction)

Divert Road, Gourock (full length)

Brown Street, Port Glasgow (Between A8 and William Street)

South Street and Carmichael Street, Greenock (Forsyth Street to Fox Street)

West Stewart Street/Houston Street, Greenock (Jamaica Street to Patrick Street)

Union Street, Greenock (selected lengths)

Lemmon Street, Greenock (Cornhaddock Street to Murdieston Street)

Old Largs Road, Greenock (Papermill Road to Golf Course cattle grid)

Birkmyre Avenue, Port Glasgow (full length)

Banff Road, Greenock (No 73 to No 75)

Wateryetts Drive/Yett Avenue, Kilmacolm (Port Glasgow Road to Quarry Drive)

A number of streets are lined up for large patching work: Cumberland Road, Roxburgh Street, Berwick Road, Castle Road, Earnhill Road, Overton Road, Peile Street, Cedar Crescent, Fir Street, Luss Avenue, Nicolson Street, Dunlop Street, Cornhaddock Street, Drumfrochar Road, Ingleston Street, Belville Street and Waverley Street (all Greenock); Old Greenock Road and Oronsay Avenue, Port Glasgow; Royal Street, Dunvegan Avenue and Sharp Street, Gourock; and Springwood Drive, Kilmacolm.
