POLICE are investigating after two vehicles were set on fire within an hour in Greenock last night.

The first blaze involved a Peugeot in a car park at flats beside Regent Street, near Mearns Street, just before midnight.

Two youths in hooded tops and grey joggers were seen in the area at the time.

The second fire happened around 1am in Fife Road and involved a Volkswagen Passat car.

A youth in a hooded top and joggers was also seen at this location.

Witnesses to either incident are urged to call detectives on 101.
