WITNESS Plea After Men Injured In Incident

TWO men suffered serious injuries during a disturbance in Greenock’s East End.

Detectives have appealed for witnesses after the men, aged 62 and 54, were seriously assaulted in Bawhirley Road.

Officers believe there was an initial altercation in the street around 6pm (Tuesday) which continued inside a property.

An ambulance was called around 8.20pm and one man was taken to hospital. Several hours later an ambulance was called for the second man.

The men suffered facial and head injuries and remained in hospital today (Wednesday) for observation.
