WITNESS Appeal After Fire Started At Flat DoorDETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after newspapers were set on fire at the front door of a flat in Greenock late last night.
The incident happened at 13 Brachelston Street just after midnight. The occupier, a 41-year-old woman, was not injured.
The fire was seen by a neighbour who contacted the fire service. There was minor damage to the door.
Detective Inspector David Wagstaff urged anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to call 101.
