A rock concert in Portsmouth, by Campbell Skinner as part of taking pictures for seven days

THE number 7 takes centre stage at Greenock camera club’s meeting tonight (Thursday).

To help members develop their photography, they were asked to take a picture a day for seven days to work on thinking of subjects to take, cope with different weather conditions and to take pictures of different places they may have been.

Club president Campbell Skinner said: “The results are always interesting and let everyone in the club share on what is possible when you are required to take pictures on a regular basis.

“Members have also been asked to provide seven pictures they can talk about so we get to know more about their interests outside competitions.

“Last week we learned about competition and how to improve pictures to impress judges. We also saw pictures by new members and learned why they take and enjoy picture taking which was most enjoyable.

“There will also be another camera clinic this week so members can learn more about how their camera works.”

Greenock Camera Club welcomes anyone who is interested in photography to join the members on Thursday evenings at 7.15 in Greenock Golf Club, Forsyth Street.
