SPORT Personality Awards On Course For 30,000 VotesMORE than 27,000 votes have been cast in the Inverclyde Sports Personality Awards — voting closes at midnight on Monday (24 April).
Organisers say it looks like the total might reach 30,000 by the time the deadline is reached. Finalists will be announced next week.

Tickets for the awards event, which takes place in Greenock Town Hall on the evening of Friday 12 May and includes a three-course meal, are available from Smiths Sports in West Blackhall Street, Greenock. Tickets and cost £35 can be booked and paid for by telephone — 01475 888555 — or in person.
Proceeds from the event go to making grants to local sportspeople to help in their aims to get into regional, national and international squads, team and events.
