GREENOCK-based charity Ocean Youth Trust Scotland is holding a sponsored cycling event around Arran in September.
The charity operates vessels Alba Explorer and Alba Venturer, and helps young people from all backgrounds gain valuable leadership, teamwork, communication and many other skills and qualifications through sailing.
The 56-mile Arran Sportive, which is in its second year, takes place on Saturday 9 September and will raise funds for Ocean Youth Trust Scotland’s sailing expeditions.
It is a full island loop with 1,300 metres of climbing. The route will start and finish in Brodick going anti-clockwise round the island.
Local singer Wendy McAuslan will be performing on the day and Arran Brewery are going to be at the event with some drinks.
People can find out more and sign up for the event online.
