Inverclyde Now Logo ROAD Closing As Part Of Sewer Upgrade Project

A SECTION of a main route through Kilmacolm is to close for 10 days.

The A761 Port Glasgow Road will be shut from its junction with Woodrow Avenue up to its junction with Wateryetts Drive from Monday (5 August) until Thursday 15 August.

The closure is needed as part of the next phase of Scottish Water’s work to upgrade sewer infrastructure in the village.

Local traffic diversions which will be in place. Full pedestrian access will be maintained.

Ruaridh MacGregor, Scottish Water’s corporate affairs manager for the west area, said: “This work in Kilmacolm will help tackle historical sewer flooding issues and protect the local environment. We would like to thank affected customers and road users in advance for their patience and understanding.”
