SNOWFALLS caused some disruption to recycling bin collections in Greenock today.

Inverclyde Council said the locations affected were Whinhill Cottages, Beith Road; Glen Douglas Road (numbers 9-15); Glenfruin Road; Glen Kinglas Avenue; Glen Douglas Place; Overton Cottages and Crawhin Gardens.

Recycling bosses are asking residents to keep putting the bins out each day until the teams can clear the missed ones.

A council spokesman said: “The unusual Easter snow today has caused a small amount of disruption to our bin collection services.

“If residents continue to put their missed bins out, we will get to them as quickly as we can to make sure that any leftover Easter egg boxes and food waste gets into the recycling system.”
