Inverclyde Now Logo OLD Kirk In Kilmacolm Holding Three-Day Festival Of Sound

KILMACOLM is set to enjoy its first festival of sound, featuring music and readings. 

OKFest takes place at the Old Kirk and Kidston Hall from 24 to 26 March.

It starts on Friday 24 March at 7.30pm with a contemporary and easy listening music night by Brian McGlynn.

On Saturday 25 March, there are a number of events:

— 10am to noon — Pop-up Gospel Choir Workshop

— 1 to 2pm — Sing-along to Disney’s Frozen

— 2 to 4pm — Poetry and literature readings covering love, peace, justice and triumph over adversity

— 7 to 9pm — Choral festival featuring Westerton Male Voice Choir, Inverclyde Voices and Angel Voices

On Sunday 26 March, the Old Kirk’s Sunday service, from 11am to noon will feature more pop-up gospel choir. From 3 to 4.30pm there will be an organ recital by Dr Peter Christie, and from 7.30 to 9pm the finale concert with Riverside Youth Band takes place.

Admission is free; donations are welcome towards event costs.
