13 January, 2018 | Noticeboard

A NEW local history group — the Friends of Inverclyde Heritage Hub — is being set up and holds its first meeting on Wednesday 17 January.

Inverclyde Heritage Hub is the new joint service from Inverclyde Council comprising the social history collection from the McLean Museum, Inverclyde Archives and the local history collection from the Watt Library.

The hub is keen to have a friends group to help support their research, outreach and public engagement activities while bringing together like-minded people with an interest in local history and heritage.

A meeting for those interested will take place on Wednesday 17 January at 2.30pm at the Inverclyde Heritage Hub premises in Cathcart Street, Greenock, pictured.

Anyone with questions can get in touch with organisers on heritagehub@inverclyde.gov.uk or 01475 715628.
