THE 158th session of the Greenock Philosophical Society begins on Friday (18 October).
There will be a talk from Valerie Reilly entitled “All Is Safely Gathered In – Autumn Traditions”.
Sometime curator of textiles at Paisley Museum, Valerie spends some of her retirement time giving illustrated lectures on a wide range of subjects.
The talk is at Greenock Central Library in Wallace Place, doors open 7pm for a 7:30 start. Meetings take up to an hour and a half.
Membership cards, priced £10, will be available at the door. Visitors pay £1.50 each evening, but admission is free for this Friday’s event.
