10 March, 2017 | Noticeboard

GREENOCK and District Sea Cadets held their Royal Naval Parade.

The parade is the main part of the annual assessment to gauge the unit against all other units in the country.

Greenock is currently the top unit in Northern Area, being awarded the Stephenson Trophy for 2016.

The Northern Area Officer, the Provost and the Clyde South District officer made a presentation to three of the unit’s cadets.

The parade was attended by many guests and parents as the latter part of the evening formed part of the unit prize-giving.

The Sea Cadets are open to boys and girls aged 10 to 18 years old.

On Saturday 8 April the unit, in Baker Street, is holding an open day from 10am to 4pm for those interested in joining the cadets.
