24 February, 2017 | Noticeboard

GREENOCK’S McDonald’s restaurant closes for four weeks on Wednesday evening (1 March) for a ‘digital makeover.’

The premises in James Watt Way will re-open at 10.30am on Tuesday 28 March.

Changes will include self-order kiosks, the option to have food delivered to tables and free-to-use tablet devices and games on tables. A small outside play area will also be installed.

The restaurant is one of six in Scotland owned and operated by local franchisee Steve Tomlin. He said: “We’re excited about the transformation because we’re committed to offering our customers more choice and fast service here in Greenock.

“The customer experience in the digitally-enhanced stores is better than before, with the kiosks meaning customers can view the options and order, without the pressure of being at the till.

“We can’t wait for the customers to trial all the new features.”
