Inverclyde Now Logo ARTS Project To Help Shape Future Of Six Greenock Areas

27 November, 2017 | Noticeboard

RESIDENTS in a number of six Greenock neighbourhoods are being invited to get involved in arts-based engagement events aimed at finding out what they want to see happening in their local area.

RIG Arts will be working with communities in the Strone, Leven Road, Aberfoyle Road, Maukinhill, Pennyfern and Bow Road areas developing activities to determine the needs and aspirations of local people.

The Community Artworks project aims to actively involve residents in discussions and creative art workshops.

Residents from these areas are invited to the project launch event at Auchmountain Resource Centre, Burnhead Street on Wednesday (29 November) from 3 to 5pm.

There will be free creative workshops and the chance to find out more about the project. Tea, coffee and cake will be served.

Community Artworks is being undertaken by Cloch Housing and Oak Tree Housing in association with Community Links Scotland and is funded by the European Social Fund.
