£2MILLION Road Repair Programme Approved
Container Way in Greenock is to be re-surfaced
A £2MILLION programme of road repairs in Inverclyde has been agreed by councillors.
Officials have drawn up the investment programme through analysis of results from the Scottish Road Maintenance Condition Survey (SRMCS), local knowledge of defective lengths of carriageway, the number of complaints, accident statistics, liability claims, and public, councillor, and other requests.
The work is scheduled to take place in the 12 months from the start of April.
Around £1.2million will be spent on the following full carriageway reconstruction projects:

Dunvegan Avenue (Cloch Road to Tantallon Avenue)
Elm Terrace (Section to be confirmed)

John Street (Full length and cul-de-sac)

The rest of the money will be spent on other projects, such as signs and lines, and £200,000 on patching large areas of carriageways at various other locations.
