INVERCLYDE Council has started it search for a new chief executive.
The post, with a salary of around £147,500 a year, is now being advertised, through executive search organisation Aspen People.
Current chief executive Louise Long is leaving the local authority in May to join NHS Lanarkshire.
Recruitment documents state: “We are looking for an exceptional and inspirational leader who can deliver the very best outcomes for local communities. This is a leader who thrives on challenge and has a track record of delivering change in complex environments.
A closing date of 6 March has been set.
