2004s -- Training on Tuesday at Parklea and Friday at Newark Primary School. Games are scheduled to resume this weekend and coaches will confirm with parents arrangements at training. The coaches and players thank sponsor John O'Donnell Joiners.

2002s (Red) – The squad and their opponents played an excellent and open game of football enjoyed by both sets of spectators. All players deserve much credit for passing moves and attacking play. Special mention goes to both goalkeepers for very good performances. Goals from Kyle Bailey, Scott Hendry, Corey Hyslop and Jai Douglas. Any player born in 2002 who would like a trial with the club should contact Joe on 07877 051798. Players and coaches express thanks to Duncan McKenzie Craft Butchers and Clydeport for kit sponsorship.

Under-14s Port Glasgow Jnrs 7 v 1 Cherrie

Under-16s Port Glasgow Juniors (Y) 2 v 1 Riverside FC

Port won this DFDL fixture more comfortably than the score reflects to go top of their league. Juniors passed the ball very well in the first half but could only breach the five-man defence once when Barry Doolan who was first to follow up a shot which crashed off the crossbar. In fact the woodwork came to Riverside's aid on at least six or seven occasions. Juniors started well in the second half against a rearranged defence and Paul Pettigrew scored a stunning daisy cutter into the bottom corner from outside the box -- just reward for his hard work on the day. Referee's man-of-the-match award went to Barry Doolan for being a constant threat to the Riverside defence. Next week Port are away to Argyle Athletic; pool and match details will be given out at training. The coaches and team thank WH Kirkwood for their support this season and also thank Iceland, Port Glasgow for coming on board as new strip sponsors.

Under-17s Milngavie FC 3 – 4 Port Glasgow Juniors

This was another fine display by all boys in this away game. Juniors lost an early goal but quickly equalized when K Lynch finished off a corner. The boys kept pushing hard until the end of the first half, but went in 3-1 down. Juniors came out in the second half fighting hard which paid off. Port trialist J Duffy scored in the bottom corner, R Trainer connected with a volley to score from 40 yards out to equalize. Both sides kept attacking and with a few minutes to go, Port’s D O’Hagan found the back of net and secured three points. A big thank you to all the boys especially William Johnstone for stepping into the goalkeeper position at the last minute. Referee's man of the match was J Duffy. Management and boys thank all sponsors for continued support.

Port Glasgow Juniors BC as a club thank Calmac Ferries Ltd. for their continued support
