FOOTBALL -- Port Glasgow Juniors Boys' Club Report
Port Glasgow Juniors 2004s -- Training on a Tuesday at Parklea has resumed in preparation for the season ahead. The coaches and players thank John O'Donnell Joiners for agreeing to sponsor the team this year again.
Port Glasgow Juniors Under-16s (Y) -- 7 v 3 Ardencaple BC
Juniors controlled this game from start to finish and should have finished with more goals but for some good saves from the Ardencaple keeper.
The whole team played well including all the subs who came on in the second half. They all slotted in without too much disruption to Port’s system and finished the game strongly.
Scorers for Port were Ross Rodgers (3), Thomas Robb (2), Callum Ramage and debutant Paul Cardoo.
Referee's man-of-the-match award went to Josh O'Neill.
Next week Juniors are away to Riverside; pool and match details will be given out at training. The team are still on the lookout for a new keeper -- any boy born in 1996 is welcome to come along to training on Monday evenings at parklea 5.30 to 7pm and Thursday nights 8 to 9.45pm.
