STORM Ciara caused disruption on Inverclyde’s road and rail routes over the weekend.
— The A78 Inverkip Road remained closed on Monday morning between West Station and South Street roundabout alongwith a stretch of Nelson Street after stonework fell from The Albany in high winds on Saturday night. Inverclyde Council say the building can’t be made safe until the wind dies down.
— There was damage to overhead railway wires between Port Glasgow and Wemyss Bay, disrupting services
— Dalrymple Street, Greenock was closed because of an unsafe sign.
— The road under the railway bridge at Woodhall Roundabout, Port Glasgow, was closed on Sunday morning because of flooding.
— Flooding was also affecting the A8 at Ladyburn in Greenock.
