MAN Struck By Car On A78
A MAIN route into Greenock was closed for several hours after a man was struck by a car.
The accident happened around 7.20pm on Monday on the A78 between Inverkip and Greenock, on an unlit stretch of road near the turn off to Loch Thom.
The 52-year-old victim was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital with wrist and collar bone injuries. His condition was not life-threatening.

The northbound carriageway was closed while police investigated. Vehicles coming from the Inverkip direction were diverted on to Cloch Road.
