SPORTING Test For Athletes
ATHLETES put themselves to the test at a triathlon and biathlon in Gourock.

Around 80 adults competed in the triathlon swimming half a mile (24 lengths) at Gourock Outdoor Pool, then jumping on their bikes for a 10-mile cycle followed by a five-kilometre run,
The biathlon was for 10 to 17-year-olds and had nearly 20 entrants. They swam a quarter of a mile and ran three kilometres.
Participants had to raise a minimum of £20 for Ardgowan Hospice.
David Ogg was the overall triathlon winner with a course record of 54 minutes, 34 seconds.
