PostHeaderIcon SHOW Gets A Fireman's Lift

TWO of the girls from Sideline Production's forthcoming show "Footloose" - which includes the song "Holding Out for a Hero" - paid a visit to Greenock Fire Station to get a taste of what being a real life hero is all about.

The musical, which is on at Greenock Arts Guild Theatre 9 to 11 September, is based on the 1984 movie, which starred Kevin Bacon.

Other hits from the show include "Let's Hear it for the Boy" and, of course the title song, "Footloose". It's a very energetic show with lots of dancing, a good story and great music.

The firefighters played host to Julie Henry, who plays the part of Ariel in the show (movie version played by Lori Singer) and Jacqui Hughes, who plays Rusty (movie version played by a very young Sarah Jessica Parker)

Tickets for the show are available from cast members, or by email from  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or from the Arts Guild Box Office (01475 723038)
