PostHeaderIcon THREE Hurt In Attacks


TWO men returning from a night out were injured in an apparently unprovoked attack in Port Glasgow.

The victims, aged 58 and 49, were on the path by the dental surgery in Dubbs Road around 11pm last night when they were set upon by four men aged about 20.

They were kicked and punched on the head and body and weapons my also have been used in the assault.

The older man was detained in Inverclyde Royal Hospital for observation suffering from a cut to his head and bruising.

The younger man, who suffered numerous wounds to his head, was allowed home.

Meanwhile a 16-year-old boy was attacked by someone in Auchmead Road, Greenock, around 1am today.

He suffered a neck wound. It’s thought a sharp object such as a broken bottle was used.
