PostHeaderIcon GUIDE Notes -- CENTENARY Tartan Gig

Tartan Gig – The first centenary celebration of the new session took place last Saturday when more than 100 excited girls and leaders travelled to the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow for “The Tartan Gig”.

The hall was filled with girls who had come from all over Scotland for the event. Host for the evening was Michelle McManus of “The Hour” who introduced a fantastic line-up – Twenty, Twenty; The Wanted; Carrie Mac; Aggro Santos; Ironik and Alesha Dixon. The concert hall glowed with flashing “bunny ears” and fluorescent accessories as the girls sang, screamed, jumped, and danced their way through a fabulous concert. Everyone had a brilliant time. Some Gourock Guides were lucky enough to meet Twenty Twenty during the break and also managed to see The Wanted leaving the concert hall after their stint on stage. Click for photos

1st Skelmorlie Brownies went to Blair Drummond Safari Park for their summer trip. The girls had a great time visiting all the animals but the pack favourites were the sea lions. Congratulations to the eight Brownies and Brownie Guider Karen who made their promise in front of the sea lion tank. Well done girls! Click for photo
