Presentation Of Queen’s Badge Certificates -- The presentation to this year’s Queen’s Men will take place in the saloon of Greenock Town Hall on Thursday 16 September at 7pm. Letters of invitation have been issued by Battalion Secretary, Stewart Smith, who would be grateful to be advised of attendance by 9 September.

News From Companies

2nd Gourock -- The boys and staff of both the Company Section and Junior Section have now enjoyed visiting Gourock Pool over the last couple of weeks.

After taking over the pool and scaring off any other swimmers, the evenings were finished nicely with hotdogs and juice back at the church hall. Thanks to staff of the pool (and any other swimmers) for their patience and understanding; the boys had a ball. Please note Sunday 19 September is enrolment parade, uniform will be issued over the next couple of weeks to all three sections.

Return Dates/Times

8th Greenock – The 8th Greenock Anchor Boys (primary one to primary three) and Junior Section (primary four to primary six) resume on Wednesday 8 September at 6.30pm in St Ninian’s Church Hall, Larkfield. Meanwhile the Company Section (primary seven to sixth year) has already resumed, from 7.30pm, also on Wednesday evenings. Boys interested in joining any section are very welcome and should come along at the appropriate time.

12th Greenock – The 12th Greenock restart for the new session in Wellpark Mid Kirk as follows: Thursday 9 September - Anchor Boys, Thursday 6.30 to 7.30 and Junior Section, 6.30 to 8pm; Company Section, Friday 10 September 7.30 to 8pm. New recruits to all sections will be made most welcome.
