CLYDE Coastguard Incident Round-Up For Friday 9 December/ Sunday 11 December
Clyde Coastguard Daily Report Friday 9 December 2011.
8.42am -- Clyde Coastguard were informed of a near collision between a fishing vessel and a tanker in a position three miles east of Davaar Island, near Campbeltown. Details have been forwarded to the Maritime and Coastguard Agency Enforcement Branch for further investigation.
10.45am -- Clyde Coastguard tasked Troon Lifeboat, Ayr and Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Teams to Prestwick Airport when a full emergency was declared by the airport. The inbound helicopter, which had suffered engine failure in one of its engines landed safely.
8.28pm -- Clyde Coastguard tasked Fort William Coastguard to prepare a landing site for Rescue Helicopter 177 to facilitate the evacuation of an NHS patient from Fort William to Glasgow.
Additionally Coastguard Rescue Teams from Kilchoan, Salen and Fort William were assisting the NHS with transport of personnel because of adverse weather conditions.

6.07am -- Clyde Coastguard monitored the progress of the Dutch container ship Encounter on its voyage to Greenock. The vessel had suffered an engine problem when it was south of the Isle of Man.
3.16pm -- Arran Coastguard Rescue Team manned the landing site for the air ambulance helicopter which was transferring a patient from Brodick to Kilmarnock.
10.18pm -- Oban RNLI Lifeboat conducted the transfer of a pregnant woman from the Isle of Mull to Oban.
